Estradiol 21?

Lynda said I'm good to go... but I just checked my estradiol level through my local clinic website and it was 21.  Normal range for ovulating females is 23-443 (depending on where in the cycle they are).  In February my value was 72....

Maybe lupron is supposed to suppress it?  Maybe it wasn't working well last time at this point?

I don't know what my numbers where from Daughter's transfer in 2012 because we used another clinic.  Just one more thing to stress about!  I need to put it on God's shoulders and not worry... easier said than done!

Good to go!

I had my first ultrasound and lab work today. Lynda called and I'm "good to go"!  So that's exciting.

I'm still on Lupron and I start taking Estrace tomorrow. I'm cranky.  I get headaches. My tummy looks like a pin cushion of bruises (and now I have a bruise from my lab draw too, gotta love pale skin!).  Now I feel nauseated... I'm not sure if it is the meds or I'm coming down with something.

Mat is being awesome, as usual. He puts up with my crankiness and even tries to calm me down. I love him :)

No endo scratch!

We had pretty much decided on our own that we would not try an endo scratch before we heard from Dr K. When he got back to us, he said he didn't want me to get one.

For all the reasons listed in the previous endo scratch post, plus a medical reason that my mom brought up. Dr K knows about it and it won't affect my transfer, but it might be made worse by an endo scratch.

22 months! (sitting in "drafts" way too long)

Our little girl is 22 months old!

  • She LOVES strawberries. Loves loves LOVES!
  • loves pool time (or water of any sort)
  • enjoys mud!
  • Doesn't understand why we don't go outside in the rain. (see above)
  • Still fits in her 18 month clothes, but starting to wear more 24 month/2T
  • Loves balls, throwing, and chasing.
  • Loves running (Especially at church!)
  • She started going under the pews at church.  That is less than fun.
  • We got and made her new quiet toys for at church but all she wants to do there is run.
  • laughs when others are laughing.
  • says "God bless you" when I sneeze.
  • She likes to do something and then make sure people are watching her.
  • She enjoys skyping and FaceTime with her cousins and Grandparents.
  • Enjoys riding the rocking horse on the couch (I put it up to vacuum and then she hops on it)
  • She likes to "help" wind up the cord and put away the vacuum.
  • Starting to scream a lot.  We're working on "inside voice" and using her words.
  • She spits out a sentence like it's nothing sometimes, but often just babbles.
  • Uses inflections well.
  • her sleep schedule is really anything but a schedule.  She wakes when she wakes and naps when she's tired.  We try to put her in bed around 8 but sometimes she just plays in there for a bit.
  • She can climb into her crib!  I'm hoping its a while before she figures out that climbing out would be just as easy (if not more so)

Endo scratch?

A NEDC friend brought it up to me last night and I hadn't really thought about it.  I'd heard of it, but never looked into it.  Here's the study

It's supposed to significantly improve chances of attaining pregnancy through IVF or embryo transfer.

Well... that's good!  Right?  But every transfer we've ever had we acheived pregnancy.  First transfer from IVF fresh cycle (only two embryos were made, both transferred) twin pregnancy!  Lost twin A at 8 weeks, twin B at 10 weeks.  We tried IVF again but my body doesn't respond well to the meds and we only got two eggs and neither fertalized.

Then we turned to embryo adoption (EA).  First attempt 11/2012 we transferred 2 embies and we had our beautiful Daughter!

2nd attempt 03/2015, transferred 2 and had a chemical pregnancy.  Dr K told me that it was probably a genetic condition with the embryos (even though they both looked great) and nothing to do with me or my body.

We're going back next month.  I just, for all intents and purposes, "heard" of endo scratch.  Should we do it?  It's relatively cheap.  I do have a lot of pain anytime anything along those lines is done to me... the mock transfers hurt me and they don't hurt normal women.  (not that I'm not normal, just unique ;)

So I don't know what to do.  I'm leaning toward not doing it.  Mat is definitely on the "no" side, but he's open to it and leaving it up to me to research.  I've emailed and asked Lynda, but I haven't heard back yet.

Anyone have experience with endo scratches?

Got my med protocol!

So I stay on the pill I'm on until 6/18 and I'm starting Lupron on Saturday. It's getting real!

The zoo!

We went to the zoo this morning. Daughter was more interested in the benches than the animals.
I've decided she's graduated past her stroller there. This time we just used it to hold the groups sweatshirts once the sun came out.

After the zoo we went to the library. A library volunteer said hello to Daughter and she reached up to be picked up. When I did pick her up, the lady said "oh, she looks so much like her mama!" I just smiled :)
